Apulia is an Italian Language and Italian Culture School for foreigners located in Lecce, Puglia, in the heart of Salento. It is open all year and offers a wide rage of courses and accommodation. Students of Italian as a foreign language often choose to learn the Italian language because they are interested in Italian Culture. So Apulia’s programmes are a mixture of language and culture. Social activities give students the opportunity to learn Italian whilst having fun. Teachers take part in all the social activities, and adopt teaching methods which use the Italian language as a means of communication. Courses are focused on Italian culture and particularly on regional and local culture. Seminars and meetings on culture take place in addition to the standard lessons.

Courses start every Monday and students may attend more than one at the same time. Each lesson lasts 50 minutes and groups are organized according to level. There is a placement test on the first day of school for levels above complete beginner. On the first Monday all students are taken on a tour of the local area and city by one of the teachers. Apulia offers different types of courses: General Italian & Culture, preparation for CILS/CELI/IT examinations, Mediterranean cookery, pottery and papier-mâché, History of Art and Italian Culture, Italian music and programmes for groups. It is also possible to combine courses with Apulia's sister school in Rome. Free extra services offered by the school include internet point, loan of books and videos in Italian Language.

Apulia offers different accommodation solutions, based on students’ requests. Student can choose to stay in the Apulia School Residence, which is located in apartments within the school complex (they are spacious detached houses with a front and rear garden), in a B&B, hotel or in apartments out of the Apulia School Residence, and in a family.

Apulia is recognized by the  Italian Ministero Pubblica Istruzione and by the lands of Berlin, Brandenburg, Hamburg, Sachsen-Anhalt, Schleswig-Holstein per il Bildlungsurlaub.
