The Lewis School of English is a small, friendly school, which has been welcoming students of English for over 30 years. It is conveniently located in the heart of the city of Southampton, facing a beautiful park. The main bus terminus and shopping areas are just a few minutes walk from the school. It occupies three 18th century town houses with garden patios at the back. The facilities include a reception area, 13 spacious and well equipped classrooms, a listening centre, a computer room with Internet access, a video room and 2 coffee rooms. Next door is Southampton Solent University, which has 16,000 students.

The school has a wide range of courses to suit students' needs, and they all offer excellent value for money: General English, Intensive English, Academic Year Programme, Private tuition, IELTS University preparation, Examination courses (CAE, FCE, LCCI, IELTS, TOEIC), Business English, Technical/Scientific English, Combination courses, etc.  The maximum adult class size is 12. The average year round number of students is 70 - 90 rising to 140 in July and August. The majority of students are aged between 18 and 35 years old.

The Lewis School of English offers two types of accommodation: Regular Homestay and Executive Homestay, but it can also help the students book accommodation in a hotel or "bed and breakfast".
