The Wimbledon Language Academy (WLA) is a friendly and welcoming English language school which will give you the opportunity to experience the delights of living in the exciting cosmopolitan city of London, whilst studying in a safe and secure environment. The WLA is in Wimbledon, one of the most famous and charming parts of London, next to the River Wandle. Students will experience a high standard of teaching, different levels and the opportunities to achieve outstanding exam results.

WLA offers full-time General English courses at different levels (from beginner to advanced). All courses are 15 hours a week, from Monday to Friday, and cover all aspects of English Language Learning (grammar, writing, speaking and pronunciation, listening and reading) and are taught by graduates with qualifications in teaching English as a foreign language. Students may take their lessons in the morning or in the afternoon, and can start their course any Monday. Average class size is 10 to 15 students (max 25). Minimum age of the students is 18.

In addition to general language instruction, at WLA you can prepare to take the Cambridge Examinations in English: KET (Key English Test), PET (Preliminary English Test), FCE (First Certificate in English), CAE (Certificate in Advanced English) and CPE (Certificate of Proficiency in English). The school also offers an IELTS (International English Language Testing System) - exam preparation class for those students who are interested in studying at university in Britain.

WLA offers a wide range of services, including free Internet access (available to all students), accommodation assistance alongside support and guidance with other problems. WLA runs as well an exceptional social programme including regular trips to musicals, theatre and major sporting events.
