Galway Language Centre is a small, family-run, adult English language school, established in 1987. The school is located in a beautiful, renovated 18th century mill overlooking the River Corrib in the centre of Galway City, the cultural capital of the West Coast of Ireland. In this friendly and vibrant atmosphere, students will study English with a team of experienced senior teachers. The centre has a wide range of courses, including: General English -Full-time & Part-time-, Cambridge Examination Preparation (all levels), TOEIC, TOEFL & IELTS Preparation, English for Business & Professional Use, English for Specialist Subjects, Part-time Courses and TEFL Teacher Training Courses.

Galway Language Centre can offer host family accommodation where the student will live as a guest with an Irish family. Getting to know Irish culture and way of life will be an enriching part of an English language experience in Galway. On the other hand, although many of the students like to organise their own leisure time, Galway Language Centre also recognises the need for a social programme of cultural and recreational activities to enrich their time in Galway and at the school. It tries always to have 3-4 cultural or social events for the students each week, either free or charged at cost. These include: Traditional music pub evenings, concert & theatre trips, full-day excursion each week, city history walks, talks on Irish history & culture, and much more.  There are also numerous sporting opportunities in Galway for visitors, including golf, horse-riding and racquet sports.
