The English Center is located in Champaign-Urbana, right next to the University of Illinois. The school was founded in 1996. The center curriculum was designed to meet the specific needs of each learner. The program focuses on understanding learner goals and helping learners reach their goals by setting up individual learning paths.

The center offers both full-time and part-time English programs. Full-time Intensive programs give students 20 hours of instruction per week, and allow them to d evelop their English skills for university study, business, travel, or other purposes.

The part-time program is intended for university students, visiting scholars, and spouses who wish to study less than 20 hours per week and do not need a student visa. There are two types of part-time programs. The first is a set of individual classes, which students may pick and choose in any combination that they like: Conversation, Listening, Pronunciation, Writing, TOEFL, or Reading, Grammar & Vocabulary. The second type of part-time programs is called QuickStart™. This program is designed for lower level students. It helps them learn the fundamentals of English quickly.

Short Term Group Programs are provided upon request. The English Center will tailor programs to meet the specific goals and needs of the group. The programs are run primarily during the summer months.

In addition to English classes, The English Center can arrange for housing, meals, social activities, and trips for the group.
