Its location is perfect for the international student. It is a 20-minute walk from

school students have exercise clubs, a student travel agency, a public library and a post

ALPS's students may choose private or group lessons. In the
private lessons, the teacher plans an individual curriculum based on the
students needs and interests. Lessons may include practice activities in any of the
following: speaking and listening, pronunciation, vocabulary development, reading and
writing, specialized professional vocabulary, free conversation, educational field trips
and test preparation (TOEFL, TOEIC, etc.). In the group instruction (max. 8 students per
class), the main focus is speaking and listening, but grammar, reading and writing tasks
are included. Other topics are elective classes (to practice idioms, slang, and survival
English), Reading & Writing, and TOEFL & TOEIC Preparation, for students who will
use English in an academic setting and who need academic reading, writing and vocabulary
skills.
During every 4-week session, students have the opportunity
to participate in at least four organized school activities. There are different
activities depending on the season.
An independent homestay organization arranges homestays for
ALPS students. The homestay hosts are carefully chosen for friendliness, hospitality, and
responsibility. As much as possible, students are placed with hosts who have similar
interests.
