The English as a Second Language (ESL)
program at Bellevue University offers beginning through advanced level classes for
undergraduate and graduate students. Students will receive instruction in English grammar,
vocabulary, composition, reading, listening, and speaking. Students at the advanced levels
are allowed to take other courses while completing ESL classes. They will learn
English through advanced technology, using a language lab and computer software. Students
will also receive college credit toward graduation for their ESL course work.
TOEFL scores are not required for admission. On
arrival at Bellevue University, the office wiill give the students an English language
placement test to determine their English proficiency so that they will be placed in an
appropriate ESL or ESP course.
The Bellevue University ESL program starts three
times during the year - Fall (August), Spring (January) and Summer (June). The university
welcome applications for admission into ESL in either its Bachelor's or Master's degree
program.
