The Dominion English Schools are warm, friendly schools located in Auckland (North Island) and Christchurch (South Island). Both schools are large enough to offer up to 8 levels of English and small enough for everyone to make new friends. Both schools are near bus transport, train stations, shops, restaurants and theatres. Close to ferry and water's edge in Auckland, near Cathedral in Christchurch, and both of them are also modern and equipped with naturally lit classrooms (16 in Auckland, 12 in Christchurch), lounge, kitchen, library, computer lab, broadband wireless throughout, pool table, piano, and free tea and coffee all day. Students can transfer between schools. Long term students (24 weeks+) who book a transfer in advance receive free airline ticket return between schools.

The Dominion cultural, social and sporting programme has been designed to enable the participants to meet New Zealanders and make the most of their time outside the classroom. Activities are arranged every afternoon, every weekend and after school. There is a social evening every Thursday and regular trips to the theatre, sporting events and restaurants.

Dominion General English Courses are designed to help the students communicate accurately and fluently, and they can start any Monday of the year. Groups are small (up to 12 students). The exam preparation courses are an excellent way to study for an internationally recognized English qualification such as Cambridge FCE, CAE & CPE, IELTS, TOEIC and TOEFL.  Dominion also offers other special courses, such as the Teaching English to Child Speakers of other Languages (TECSOL) program or the Teen programs (for 14 to 17 years old students).

Dominion has a student services officer who can arrange all types of accommodation. Most of the students live with a homestay family whilst studying at Dominion English School. Other options are also available, such as the low-cost budget accommodation, usually in communal dormitories of 4 or 6 (some hostels provide single rooms at extra cost) with shared cooking, washing and laundry facilities. Or the serviced apartments. Finally, there is a wide range of hotels to choose from to suit the most discerning student.
