Lawton Idiomas, founded in 1973, has three centrally located premises in Gijón near to shopping centres, local amenities and the San Lorenzo beach. The comfortable classrooms are well equipped with video, TV, audio equipment, up to date study materials and multimedia centres with ADSL connections open to its students. Overhead projectors and other aids are available for class use.

Groups are small (maximum 8 students, minimum 4). Programmes are regularly updated to meet the needs of the students and to achieve optimum results. The schools offers to Spanish learners different types of courses, including the Standard course, the Standard Plus course, One-to-one lessons, DELE preparation, Customized courses and Year round classes. After a written and oral assessment on the first day of class each student is placed in the appropriate level. If the student has some knowledge of the Spanish language he/she can start on any Monday. Complete beginners can start on specific dates.
