Spanish Now offers Spanish
language courses for international students in Calpe, Alicante. Calpe is a town open to tourism. The municipal district
extends around a bay with the Peñón de Ifach -a massive rock of 332 m of height,
declared Nature Park- rising at the northern end. Calpe also has many pebble beaches
and an extensive offer of restaurants ranging from those specialising in international
food to those offering typical dishes of the area. The train
and the regular bus service with a fluent timetable connects Calpe with the Cities of
Alicante, Valencia, Madrid and Barcelona.
Spanish Now uses the
immersion method, this is, all classes are in Spanish. The emphasis is on conversation,
but the teachers also pay attention to grammar, reading, listening and writing. The school
makes up the groups according to the students' abilities and there are a maximum of 6
students per class. Students take the intensive course (4 hrs p/d) and can add an extra
lesson of complementary courses. Courses begin every two weeks
on a Monday.
Regarding
accommodation, Spanish Now offers the following possibilities: a shared flat, with
other students and with a Spanish guest family, where students can directly experience
real Spanish life. If the student is not interested in a shared flat or a guest
family, the student can send him/her addresses or phone numbers of hotels or hostels in
the area.
