Spanish Language School in Cadiz - Andalusia, Spain

Select Academia de Idiomas (or Select Languages) is located in Cádiz, one of the oldest cities in Western Europe. The school is situated right on the Paseo Marítimo (seaside promenade), overlooking the beach and in one of the most vibrant parts of the city. The school can be reached from any point of the city within 15 minutes by bus. There are restaurants, tapas bars, cafes, supermarkets and banks, and of course the beach, within a minute’s walk. The classrooms are spacious, light, comfortable and well equipped.

Select's teaching method is based on the communicative approach to language learning. There is a systematic development of the four language skills – speaking, listening, reading and writing. Students are encouraged from the first day to use and practise the new language in a wide variety of situations. All students are given a placement test on arrival, because students will be placed into groups with others of a similar level (there are four: from beginner to advanced).   Some of the courses offered are: Standard, Intensive and the One-to-one tuition, but closed groups can also be arranged upon request.

Select typically organises accommodation with a Spanish host family, because living with a family enables constant practice of the student's Spanish skills and the opportunity to discover how the Spanish live.  However, if prefered, Select can assist its students to arrange other accommodation options, such hostels, pensions, self-catering apartments and hotels.

Cadiz offers a wide range of cultural, historical, educational and sporting activities. From historical monuments, to adventure sports, or simply sunbathing on a beach.  Information is available on these activities to complement the classes and help students at Select get the most out of their time in Cadiz.
