Spanish Language School in Toro - Castilla y

 Founded in 2000, ToLingua is a small
Spanish school. It is located right in the centre of the medieval town Toro, above the
Douro River in Central Spain. Toro is a very old but lively small town in the
province of Zamora, steeped in history and culture. This fertile region grows cereals,
fruit and the famous Tinto de Toro, the wine. The old town centre is home to typically
Spanish bars, the meeting places of the local people.
The school
offers a wide range of Spanish courses, in small groups or indivicual tuition, as
following:
- General Spanish, in standard, intensive or superintensive
courses
- DELE preparation courses
- Special Interest Courses, such as Spanish + Wine, Spanish,
Wine + Culture-Week, Spanish for Seniors (50+) and Spanish for Women (an enjoyable course
with interesting activities for women).
Regarding accommodation, ToLingua offers different options to
suit its students' needs or interests: in a shared student
flat; with a Spanish family; in an independent apartment; in a three-star hotel, in a
hospice of a monastery; in a casa rural (a typical house from the18th Century
with character, totally renovated) or in a posada (rural hotel). All
accommodations are a few minutes walking from the school.
ToLingua's students can enjoy many different outdoors
activities while staying in Toro. There are plenty of sports activities on offer,
such as swimming, tennis, biking, health clubs, etc. There are also cultural
activities on offer, such as painting, music, theaters, librarys, etc. Not far from
Toro there are three interesting cities well worth a visit: Zamora, the centre of
Romanesque architecture in Spain; Salamanca, known as the “Golden City”, World
Heritage Site; and Valladolid, the capital city of Castilla y León, which offers a nice
old quarter with many museums. These cities can easily be reached by public bus.
