Galfir is located in Tenerife, one of the seven beautiful Canary Islands, known as the “Island of Spring” thanks to its temperate year-round temperatures.  The school is located in a terraced villa, beautifully refurbished to show its Colonial roots and centrally located within La Laguna. It is situated at just three minute walk from La Laguna University, with bus and train stops within 100 meters of its front step providing access to the rest of the Island. It is also very close to the centre of La Laguna, where students will find nice shopping areas, beautiful parks and be able to experience some of the best nightlife in Tenerife.   A computer room with free internet access and a library filled with helpful books and magazines are always available for students. The school also enjoys an indoor patio and a rooftop terrace where students can take in the sights of our city, get to know their classmates or simply take a relaxing break in the sun.

Four different learning levels (Beginner, Advanced Beginner, Intermediate and Advanced) are provided to suit each student’s individual needs. Students are assessed via a level test on the first day of their course.   The courses are designed to fit a wide range of needs. They include: Intensive Courses, Individual lessons, Combined Courses (such as Spanish & Salsa, Spanish & individual tuition, Spanish & Canarian cuisine, or Spanish & Surf), Spanish for Academic Purposes, Spanish for au pair, and the DELE Preparation Course. Class size is always limited to a maximum of 6 students per class, and beginners (in Intensive courses) start on every first and third Monday of the month.

Galfir offers accommodation with host families and in shared student flats. It can also arrange hotel and hostel bookings. Besides, Galfir offers a quality year-round program of cultural, social and sporting activities. Some of these activities are free of charge, while others are paid (prices are very affordable). Both cultural and open-air activities are offered.
