The Baja California Language College was founded by Yolanda Camacho and Keith Rolle in 1997. Its Ensenada campus consists of a beautiful three-story building that covers the corner of Calle 13 and Avenida Riveroll. It is just 13 blocks from the center of downtown and 14 blocks from the ocean. It features 12 classrooms to accommodate its groups. The student lounge features coffee, a selection of teas, bottled water and an assortment of soft drinks. Numerous shops, markets, Internet cafés and cantinas are within blocks of the school. All the host families live within 3 miles from campus.

The Baja California Language College offers a Spanish immersion program for anyone wanting or needing to learn to communicate in Spanish. Individuals who are just getting started in Spanish or those wanting refresher courses to advance their proficiency find the Small Group Immersion Program their best option. The flexibility and intensity of the Private Immersion Program is best suited for individuals seeking the fast track to Spanish language acquisition and for those wanting to focus on a specific area or topic. The Executive Immersion Program is the most comprehensive and integrated program offered. It was created by the demands of the busy professional needing to immediately function in a Spanish speaking environment. Medical Spanish for healthcare professionals and Spanish classes for children and teens are featured during select months of the year. The Mexican cooking workshop and weekend classes complete the program offerings.

Students agree that living with a Mexican family is an integral part of their Spanish immersion experience. The college recommends that students stay with host families during their study in Ensenada. However, taking part in the homestay program is not a requirement. Students are free to choose where they want to stay. Ensenada features a variety of hotels, RV Parks and vacation rentals. There are also full-service marinas for those students arriving by water craft.
