The CLMS of Universidad Internacional
Spanish Language School in Cuernavaca, Mexico

The Center for Linguistic & Multicultural Studies (CLMS) of the Universidad Internacional was founded in 1980, with the specific purpose of teaching the Spanish language and introducing the Mexican culture to foreign students.  It offers a beautiful campus in Cuernavaca, plenty of facilities and services according to the students' needs.

The center offers a wide range of Spanish programs to suit different needs or interests.  Groups are always small, with no more than 5 students per class, and every class is conducted by native Spanish speaking teachers. The Intensive Spanish Program is open to all levels and provides a total immersion experience to the participants.  It comprises 3 daily hours of language instruction, 2 daily hours of Latin American or Grammar Courses, which allow the students to choose from an assorment of classes on Art, Business, Education, Literature, etc, and finally, 1 daily hour of cultural lectures, idiomatic expressions or a guided conversation workshop.  There are other optional courses during the afternoons.

Other Spanish programs offered by the CLMS include the Intensive Spanish Executive Program, private Spanish classes, the Semester Program, Intensive Spanish for Specific Purposes, DELE preparation course, and Spanish for Kids and High School Students (13 to 17 year-olds).  The Spanish for Specific Purposes program is suitable to social workers, lawyers, bilingual teachers and health care professionals, among others.

The center organizes workshops and classes on cooking, yoga, latin jazz, etc. and many social and sports activities to participate on, as well as different excursions to places of cultural and recreational interest. 

The Housing Office provides accommodation with three types of Mexican host families, meeting the personal student's needs or interests.  Other housing arrangements include the university's Guest Residence. There are also apartments for rental available in the area.
