La Casa en el Árbol provides a personalized attention to each student, a wide array of resources for them to use and highly qualified Spanish instructors.  The regular group courses are organized at all levels (from beginners to advanced), start every Monday, run 3 hours per day and do not have more than 5 participants per class. Besides, students may choose to form their own groups, with friends or family, in their own schedule (up to 8 hours per day), if all participants have the same level and there are at least two of them in the class. The two kinds of group courses include visits in town to interesting museums and typical places, Spanish material, seminars and cultural events, access to library (documentaries and films) and wireless internet.

La Casa en el Árbol also offers a Spanish immersion program, which include 5 hours per day of language instruction (in groups or private tuition), one-day excursion every weekend, guided visits to museums and Mayan villages, ecotourism and workshops, seminars and local events, lectures on Mexican culture topics and accommodation with a Mexican host family.  There is also a Medical Spanish program, designed for health professionals, who even may volunteer in a free health center.

Accommodation is offered with Mexican host families, but if the students prefer other lodging options, they can rent an apartment nearby.  The institute also organizes extra activities for the students in town (which are free) and in other places, specially on weekends.
