Jabel Tinamit Spanish School is located in Panajachel by the stunningly beautiful Lake Atitlan, and it is Mayan owned and operated. Panajachel, with a population of just 5000, is surrounded by a spectacular natural environment and the school, set in a peaceful garden of coffee, banana and orange trees, is just off the main street (Calle Santander) and close to the main bus stop.

At Jabel Tinamit Spanish School the language learners can choose one to one classes, or receive their lessons in small groups of their own friends (2 or 3 participants per group). The school offers Spanish programs at all levels, from beginners to advanced. Teaching methods are varied, to best suit the student's needs or interests, who has access to a comprehensive school library of over 200 Spanish grammar and exercise books. Lessons can begin any day of the week and are also available on Sundays or holidays, upon request. Students may choose from 4 to 6 hours per day to learn at their own pace.

While studing in Panajachel, there are many nearby places to visit in day-trips, such as San Lucus Toliman (a lakeside village in a coffee growing area), Santiago Atitlan (traditional town), Antigua, Quetzaltenango, etc.   Students may choose to participate in these activities, or prefer to stay in Panajachel and enjoy eco walks, boat trips, Mayan dancings, volcano climbs, etc.   They can stay at the school and use its Internet facilities or the WiFi access for personal reasons.
