Spanish Language School in Costa Rica
CCCN Centro Cultural Costarricense-Norteamericano
(Costa Rican US Binational Center) is a non-profit institution whose mission
is Tp provide the best tools for global success through innovative language and
intercultural programs that foster understanding and friendship between the people of
Costa Rica and the United States of America. CCCN's mission is not only teach
English to the national increasing workforce, but also Spanish to residents and
visitors. This is why it has created its Spanish program, which will help its
students develop the four skills of a language: listening, speaking, reading and
writing. CCCN's program is suited for retired foreigners, business people, and
tourists as it explores the formal use of the language. It also helps students understand
and adapt to Costa Rica culture. The program stresses oral communication, vocabulary,
Costa Rican idioms and the rich culture.
CCCN offers:

- Small groups (up to six students)
- Conversation Partner
- Membership to the Mark Twain Library and Information Center
- 10% discount on CCCNs productions at the Eugene O´Neill
Theater
The Spanish program at the CCCN is offered at six
conversational levels (Beginners: 1A, 1B, 1C; and Intermediate: 2A, 2B, 2C), in 20 hrs
courses or in 39 hrs. courses. Material is provided, exclusively created by the
CCCN, at no additional cost. The CCCN also offers tutorial courses, for students seeking
one-on-one intruction or for students who do not have the time to engage in our 20 or 39
hour sessions. This program is planned according to specific needs and interests and it
has flexible starting dates and schedules.
The CCCN has different locations. Its main office is
situated in San Pedro de Montes de Oca, very close to San José downtown.
