 Founded in 1986, Academia Tica offers currently two
Spanish language schools in Costa Rica: Academia Tica
Coronado and Academia Tica Jacó. Coronado is located just outside San Jose,
in a semi-rural town, close to volcanoes, rain forest parks, organic farms, canopy, coffee
plantations and other interesting places in the Central Valley. Jacó beach is located in the Central Pacific region, just 2 hours from San José. It is a town
with many hotels, restaurants, bars and visitors from all
over the world.
Academia Tica Coronado
offers various seminar rooms, and participants have access to
the lounge in the reception area, a terrace, a small reference library, a multimedia room
with a fast Internet connection (WiFi in both campuses), a public telephone and a small
cafeteria. The school provides facilities to play table tennis, borrow a bicycle, or use
the small basketball court.
Academia Tica also offers Internship and Volunteering
programs where students can practice their Spanish in real life conditions, accommodations
in host families and apartments all nearby the schools and tours around Costa Rica
