Rancho de Español in
Costa Rica has been dedicated to teach Spanish as a foreign language for more than 12
years. It offers Intensive and Regular Immersion Spanish language courses, Spanish
Programs for Kids and teenagers, Medical Spanish Programs, Spanish Programs for Spanish
Teachers, and many other programs of instruction in the Spanish language. Its Spanish
courses are designed in cycles of one to the number of weeks students require; schedules
may be adjusted to meet their own requirements. Beginning, intermediate and advanced
Spanish classes are intentionally kept small (no more than four students per group), in
order to give more attention to students' needs and to create a better dynamic in the
classroom.
Rancho de Español is located in La Guácima
de Alajuela, a small village 18 miles northwest of San José, capital of the country, and
about ten minutes away from the international airport, Juan Santamaría. Rancho de
Español has a spacious, park-like campus with a swimming pool which offers a relaxing
atmosphere to students. Students can combine classes with swimming, playing soccer,
basketball or volleyball, or resting under the shade of a tree. Classes are often
held in open-air classrooms surrounded by beautiful gardens and a wide variety of trees,
flowers, birds and other animals.
Students can stay on campus. The school
offers fully furnished, single, double and for families, apartments on the school campus
with a swimming pool in the backyard, and surrounded by beautiful gardens.
If students prefer to interact with a native family, the school can arrange three meals at
a home nearby.
