Pura Vida Languages Institute offers Spanish language courses in a comfortable building equipped with a full kitchen and social area.  The school is located in San Joaqín de Flores, a small twon in the province of Heredia.

At Pura Vida, students may choose regular or intensive courses. The Regular courses are four hours per day while Intensive courses are six. Group classes average 4-5 students with a maximum of six. Before the course begins, students will be tested to evaluate their level of Spanish. Following the test they will be assigned to one of six levels which correspond to the following modules: Beginning and upper Beginning (module 1), Elementary and Intermediate levels (module 2) and Upper Intermediate and Advanced levels (module 3). Each level includes grammatical structures of the Spanish language, the presentation and discussion of details and special characteristics of life and society.

College or university students can receive a certificate of completion and earn credit for their College or University.   Educators, health care workers, lawyers and other professionals, receive specialized instruction for their particular occupational discipline.  The school also provides a Traveling Spanish program, in which students can learn with a one-of-a-kind Spanish instruction/personalized vacation combo with a private tutor.

Pura Vida Language Institute provides a wide variety of tours and excursions, which include surf lessons, horseback riding, fishing, rainforest exploration and many more to fit every interest and budget.  The institute also offers a Homestay program, with selected local families. There are different options of alternate accommodation, including bed and breakfast, hotels and apartment-hotels too.
