Kalexma is a small hotel in San Jose that offers the visitors a home atmosphere. It is in San José, located in a residential area. It provides Spanish lessons in its language school: The Kalexma Language Institute or KLI. KLI, and its Immersion Program, recognizes the importance of learning Spanish and the beauty that is associated with its culture. KLI not only teaches a language, but also provides an enriched living experience in its cultural setting. Its facilities are located in the town of La Uruca , 10 minutes East of the International Airport and 10 minutes West of Downtown San Jose. Students will not only learn Spanish and Costa Rican culture in its classrooms, but also at the accommodation they choose, either with a Host Family or at the Kalexma Bed and Breakfast.

The Kalexma's Immersion Package includes: Four hours per day of classes, lodging with two meals daily: breakfast and lunch, airport transfer to and from lodging, dedicated field trips, laundry service and dance lessons.  Other services provided by the institute are: international phone calls, international fax and internet access.

Kalexma's Spanish lessons are given entirely in Spanish. There is an average of 3 students per class and a maximum of 5, 4 hrs. per day.  Courses begin every Monday.

Kalexma Language Institute also provides special programs, which include:

• Traveling Plans: students travel to exciting sites in Costa Rica, while they learn Spanish.
• Professional Plans: different professionals programs according to specific areas of study and profession.
• High School or University Group: the institute creates special programs for High School or University Spanish classes.
• Company Group Plan: this plan is for a group of employees that a certain company needs to train to become Spanish speakers.
• Classes for Children: For students traveling with kids.
• Private lessons: one-on-one lessons.
