Spanish Language School in Costa Rica

The Spanish Language and Environment Protection Center (SEPA) was founded in 1998. It is located in San Isidro de El General, 45 minutes from Dominical beach and surrounded by places of ecological interest. It offers programs for people of all ages and levels of fluency in Spanish.   Its Spanish classes are dynamic, teaching grammar while emphasizing conversation. To assure individualized attention, the classes are small, ranging from one to 4 students.  There are short-term programs, as well as long-term classes, for those interested in taking Spanish lessons for more than one month.

SEPA also offers Spanish programs for professionals, in fields such as International Business and Political Science. Programs include basic Spanish and technical Spanish according to the interest of the students.  An intensive medical program is also provided.

SEPA's students may participate in voluntary programs while learning Spanish. At this time, SEPA is working on various development projects with the Bribripa Kaneblo indigenous community. Volunteers are welcome to participate in this community project. Students who are researching in Environmental Protection can interview some professionals in areas such as; Agriculture, Environmental Protection, National Parks of Costa Rica and others.

SEPA can help students arrange their own trips in Costa Rica for weekends and at the end of the course.
