Spanish Language School in Costa Rica

Located in Heredia downtown, the International Spanish School of Costa Rica offers total immersion Spanish courses.  These courses are based on each student’s language needs: teachers evaluate where each student needs to start and what to focus on. Groups are no larger than 3 people, or are one-on-one where possible. The classes has a conversational practical focus, which allows students to learn in a non-stressful, efficient manner. Specialized Spanish courses are also available.   ISSCR offers Medical, Legal, Economical and Educational Spanish for those who may require these special focuses. Specialized terms and activities are intergrated in the student's regular Spanish class for no extra charge.  For Medical Spanish, ISSCR can arrange Spanish immersion shadowing in a local hospital or clinic.

ISSCR offers its students to stay with local Costa Rican families, who live relatively close to the school. This lodging option allows the students to have a first hand contact with the culture and to experience an extended real-life language practice, plus the opportunity to make new friends, thus enriching their experience.
