Academia Columbus Costa Rica situated in Santo Domingo de Heredia, a little town located inside the San Jose great metropolitan area, being San Jose the capital of the country.  This peaceful and quiet little town is just 10 or 15 minutes away from downtown San Jose, giving the students the possibility of studying in a relaxing atmosphere and at the same time, enjoying the amenities of a large metropolitan area.

Academia Columbus Costa Rica provides language training in both group (max. 5 students per class) and private class format. Lessons start every Monday and students are placed in an appropiate group based upon their current level of Spanish. Spanish programs offered by Academia Columbus in Costa Rica are varied, designed to suit different needs or interests. Regular Spanish instruction is open to all levels, from beginner to advanced, and are focused on communication skills. It can be taken in regular group courses (20 lessons per week) or intensive group courses (30 lessons per week). Students may combine 20 group lessons with 10 hours of private instruction per week (Combined Spanish Classes) or just enroll private lessons (20 or 30 classes per week).

Specialized Spanish Programs are provided to students who need or wish to focus their Spanish learning related to a specifi topic. Currently, Academia Columbus Costa Rica has developed courses in Business Spanish, Medical Spanish, Spanish Teacher Training, Legal Spanish, Spanish For The Hospitality Industry and more.    During Summer, the school offers the Teen Spanish Program, set up as a full Spanish immersion experience, designed for high school students.

Accommodations are included with every Spanish language program. The Academia Columbus Costa Rica provides housing with local Costa Rican host families, in shared student apartments, and in private apartments. All the various accommodation options are located just a short distance away from the school. Other services included in the programs are: airport pick-up, cultural activities, a city welcome tour, a certificate of completion and travel information.
