Banana Spanish School is a young, friendly school offering Spanish language programs in Ecuador. It is located in a quiet, safe, and easy-to access part of the tourist and shopping sector of Quito. Study programs take place not only in Quito, but at the Puerto Lopez and in the Amazon Jungle. Spanish language professors are trained professionals with years of on-the-job experience teaching Spanish as a foreign language. They are committed to helping students develop skills in four main areas, including reading, writing, listening, and basic conversation.

Spanish classes offered in Quito take place on an individual basis, as well as in small groups of 2 or 4 sudents. The daily schedule is flexible, ranging between 4, 5, or 6 hours a day depending on the students' needs. The school also offers intensive classes for students coming to Quito to work as volunteers, geared especially to meet their language needs and schedule; for travelers, and for those preparing for their DELE exams. In addition to language instruction, students are invited to participate in a wide range of extra activities, including bithday celebrations, contests, visits to local museums and historic places, cooking classes, dance lessons, etc. The school also provides the students with additional services, such as airport pick up, book exchange, free drinks and fruit at the school, etc.

Students can arrange to stay with Ecuadorian families who will provide them with their own private bedroom, as well as laundry service and breakfast, lunch and dinner as desired (home stays are flexible and meals and other services can be arranged to meet student’s needs).  If prefered, the school can help students find a place to stay in local hostels, hotels, and apartments recommended.

On the other hand, weekend trips are optional for all students and take place in national parks, nature reserves and popular tourist locations. These weekend activities are provided at a small additional cost.
