Spanish Language School in Chile

ICHIL or Instituto Chileno de la Lengua is conveniently located in the central part of Santiago, easily accessed by the subway or bus, in a cultural center were music and live productions are frequent.

ICHIL offers an accelerated learning program and an environment that allows the individual student to greatly advance their ability to communicate in Spanish in a very short time. There are four levels of group classes available and no prior knowledge of Spanish is necessary. Placement tests are available to help determine which level is most appropriate for each student. Individual or group programs are available and no more that 10 students will be in a group.

ICHIL's students, within the framework of their academic activities, receive a cultural, historical and geographic overview of Chile’s different regions, as well as information covering Chile’s political culture and administrative organization. Included in the course are guided visits to museums and other cultural sites. 

ICHIL recommends its students to take advantage of a Homestay program, but other arrangements and information are available upon request. The institute has relationships with places that offer living accommodations at low prices.

The institute plans its activities each month based on the interest of the attending students. Possible activities include barbeques,guided tours of the city and museums, tours of vineyards, dinner shows with Chilean dancing, trips out-side of Santiago, etc.
