The Mélida Anaya Montes Spanish School offers Spanish instruction and the opportunity of get to know the Salvadoran culture and its political and social process.  It is part of the organizing work of the Centro de Intercambio y Solidaridad (CIS).

The school is small and intimate, which creates a personal atmosphere and enhance individual attention. Students come from different countries, range in all ages, and are from a variety of cultural backgrounds and professions. Teachers are Salvadorans trained in teaching Spanish as a second language.

Classes begin every Monday all year round, and the minimum length of study is one week.   Spanish instruction are available at all levels, in small groups with no more than 4 participants per class. Instruction runs five days a week, four hours per day.   Individual tuition is also available.  Teaching's methodology emphasizes on conversation and grammar review, so the class discussion is an important issue in the program.   There is also a Political-Cultural program in the afternoon, which is highly recommended.

Acommodation is provided on a homestay basis, with Salvadoran host families.
