French Language School in Provence, France
Barat Foundation offers a French Language Summer Program in
Provence for students who had completed 8th to 12 th grade. Students will be living in Provence not as tourists, but as
locals, as they attend the summer festivals of Avignon and Aix-en-Provence, visit Van
Gogh's city of Arles, and shop at colorful open-air markets.
The Barat Foundation course curriculum featuring French
language and culture immersion is taught within the context of a three-fold learning
method, including the exposure, experience, and expression. The Barat Method expands
formal academic study to include personal and cultural exchange and communication through
artistic expression.
Barat Foundation has a fully equipped French country estate
with outdoor swimming pool. Its facilities are close to Aix-en-Provence, in the
south of the magnificent Luberon Valley, two kilometers from the village of Mirabeau.
Students are housed in suites or apartments within the compound.
Students are grouped according to French language experience
into Beginner, Intermediate, and Advanced French sections. All classes focus on
conversational French, and often include preparation for the day's itinerary and
excursion.
