French Language School in Provence, France
Founded in 1931
by the famous French poet Paul Valéry, the Collège International de Cannes is
established on an amazing 11000m² campus, right on the seaboard of Cannes. Its structure
offers all for student life necessary services on site : 24 class rooms, 110 student
dorms, a multimedia room, a school restaurant, a leisure time service, a gymnastic hall, a
volley-ball court, a theatre, a bar, an infirmary, WiFi for free. Numerous French students
live on the campus too, which allows a fantastic cultural interaction.
The campus is
at about 15 minutes walking from the city centre. The municipal Mediathèque, a
supermarket, a post office, etc., are at a 5 minutes walking distance to the campus. The
beach in front of the campus is public and accessible for free. A bus stop is available
right in front of the Collège with connections to the city center and the hinterland.
Cannes, hearing this name one thinks immediately about international events, above all of
which the Festival de Cannes, but it is too related to the famous Croisette, palm trees
and nice sand beaches. Beyond the postcard though Cannes is also a town with culture and
traditions, a town with a human dimension where those people meet who are in love with the
Mediterranean art de vivre.
In addition to the general language courses,
the Collège International does also offer teacher training courses and specialized
language courses such as Business French or French for Law, and specialized seminars like
Art History, French Cinema, French Civilization, French Literature and French Politics.
Students may also prepare the DELF and the DALF exams. The DELF examinations and those for
the Chambre de Commerce et d'Industrie de Paris take place on the campus of the Collège
International de Cannes.
The leisure time service available on the campus organizes a monthly program handed to
each student upon arrival. It includes sports activities, cultural events, as well as
tourist excursions to Monaco, St.Tropez, Nice, Antibes, Grasse. to explore the beautiful
Provence. According to the season evenings to taste wine & cheese, Crêpes or Ice
cream are on the program too.
Regarding lodging, students can choose between single, twin or triple rooms on the campus
with half board or with full board. Otherwise, it is also possible to live in a host
family (bed and breakfast) or in a private studio with cooking possibility, generally
located at a distance from 5 to 30 minutes walking to the campus.
