Located in the heart of Provence, IS Aix-en-Provence is an internationl institute which has specialised in teaching French to foreigners for more than 30 years. It is part of the group IS Foundation which is linked to the University of Stockholm and has branches in Germany, Great Britain, Sweden and Spain. IS Aix-en-Provence is a non-profit-making organization and member of the networks SOUFFLE, EAQUALS and IALC.  The Institute is situated in Aix-en-Provence in a former private mansion, which has 15 classrooms, a multimedia resource centre with an adjoining terrace and a room for Internet.

IS Aix-en-Provence offers a wide range of French Language courses, including General French in intensive, semi-intensive or long-term courses, in groups or private tutoring, combined with workshops (cooking or painting lessons) or with special activities (French and a wine program, French and horse riding, etc.).  The institute also provides French courses for specific purposes, like French for executives, French plus work experience, Summer courses for French teachers, tailor-made courses for school or professional groups, etc.

IS Aix-en-Provence is a examination centre for the TCF and provides preparation courses for DALF and DELF.  It also offers different options for accommodation: homestay, hotels, student residences, studios or private apartments, etc.
