IH Berlin Prolog
German Language School in Berlin, Germany
In 2002 PROLOG was accepted as an affiliate of International
House World Organisation. It is situated in what was West Berlin, in one of the most
beautiful districts and liveliest quarters of the city: Schöneberg. IH Berlin PROLOG is
just a couple of minutes away from the underground and local rail stations on
Schöneberg's Hauptstraße. The school extends over two floors and houses 22 light and
spacious classrooms. The rooms can be fitted out with a TV, LCD projector, DVD and/or
video player, PC and an interactive whiteboard as required.
IH Prolog offers small groups (max. 10 students) or private
tuition, at all levels, in different types of German language courses, such as the
Standard course, Standard Plus, Gala (2 days per week), Double (extra evening sessions),
Combi (group & private sessions), De Luxe, First class (individual lessons), and
Special courses, related to specific topics (Business German, Literature, Phonetics and
Cultural Geography, etc.).
All Prolog courses are designed to prepare the students for
official exams. Prolog is an official test centre for all basic exams for the CEF levels
A1, A2, B1, B2 and C1, then Prolog students can take both the written and oral components
of the German Certificate (ZD), Start Deutsch 1/2, telc German B2 (ZD Plus), Business
German Certificate (ZDfB), and telc German C1 in the school. At Prolog students will find
assistance they need to register for other important German tests (ZMP, DSH, TestDaF,
etc.).
Group activities, like city-tours, visits to museums,
day-trips and sport, as well as film and social evenings, are all extracurricular
activities IH Berlin Prolog's students can take part in. Regarding housing, Prolog offers
different options, such as host families or shared flats with two or three people, but it
also can arrange a room in a hotel near the school.
