German Language School in Klagenfurt, Austria

German in Austria ("Deutsch in Österreich") is the language center of the University of Klagenfurt. It offers German courses in the very south of Austria, one of the best places to learn the German language. The center was established in 1979. The University of Klagenfurt is a young and dynamic one, located in a wonderful setting, Carinthia's beautiful countryside, where students will find numerous lakes, including the famous Wörthersee, gently undulating hills and mountains where they can go hiking, climbing and skiing

The German intensive program is held nearly throughout the year.  It was designed for everybody over the age of 17 interested in learning a language, in all course levels (beginners, intermediate and advanced). The maximum number of participants per course is 12. Courses last 2,3 or 4 weeks (summer courses) or 6 weeks or more (extended courses). There are afternoon workshops and the school offers exam preparation for the Austrian Language Diploma (ÖSD) at all levels. It is possible to take individual courses and special courses, such as the Business German course, for companies who care about the linguistic training of their employees.
