Italian Language School in Rome, Italy
Torre di Babele, Italian Language School and Center of Italian Culture, is located
in an central neighborhood of Rome, near La Sapienza University of Rome, historic Villa
Torlonia park and the main railway station Termini. This area of Rome has many tree-lined
streets and parks and is only a few minutes walk from the popular student quarter San
Lorenzo, whose pubs, cafes, restaurants, pizzerias and lively nightlife are well known
throughout Italy. The school occupies an air-conditioned building, surrounded by a
spacious garden where classes may be held outdoors and students can spend their breaks and
free time. There is also a student lounge with a number of computers with free Internet
access.
Torre di Babele has been in operation since 1984, offering
Italian language courses for foreign students as well as training courses for teachers of
Italian for foreigners. The Italian courses are offered all year round, at all levels, in
small groups (max. 12 students per class), including Intensive, Superintensive, Long-term
and Individual courses. Senior courses are also offered, as well as preparation
classes for CILS -Torre di Babele is is an authorized examination centre for this exam-
and Italian for groups. The school also provides a extracurricular program, which includes
guided tours of Rome, seminars on Italian art, architecture, cinema, literature, politics,
Italian cooking and wines. The weekend excursions include visits to Pompeii, Naples,
Orvieto, Florence and other points of interest in Italy.
Upon request, Torre di Babele provides accommodations
conveniently located near the school. Such housing is available in private homes, student
apartments or hotels.
Torre di Babele is a member of the international association
of language schools, TANDEM.
