Italian Language Schools in Florence, Italy
Since 1992 EUROPASS has offered a wide choice of Italian
language courses in the heart of Florence. The school is located on the third floor of
Palazzo Galletti. Built 250 years ago, the palace is under the jurisdiction of the Belle
Arti, an organization that protects Florence’s rich patrimony of historic buildings
and works of art. The school,
completely air-conditioned, comprises many large and luminous classrooms
with decorated ceilings. It is very close to internationally famous fashion stores,
luxurious restaurants, renowned squares and monuments, and the beautiful Duomo are
all within a few steps of the study center.
Europass offers
different types of Italian courses. General Italian can be studied in different week-long
courses, such as the Intensive, Semi Intensive, Standard, Compact or Part time courses.
There are yearlong & special academic courses, as well as Specialized courses, like
test preparation courses for CILS, CILE and CIC, Italian for Senior citizens, Italian for
Business, Italian for Law, Italian for Medicine, etc. Europass offers a wide choice of
subjects beside the Italian language, including Visual Arts, Photography, Jewellery,
Cooking and Culture studies. Students can be placed in small groups (3 to 12 max.) or they
can choose private tuition (one-to-one or two-to-one).
Students can live with a local family or in an shared
apartment. Upon request Europass will assist them in finding the most suitable
accommodation, such as hotel rooms or tourist farmhouses of all categories, even out of
Florence.
The activities are designed to bring students to closer contact with the
Italian language and Tuscan culture. Wine and cheese sampling, dinners in typical
restaurants or pizzerias, discounts for theatrical plays and concerts, excursions into the
Tuscan countryside and discovering Florence’s hidden places are a substantial part of
the cultural and extracurricular program.
