Cultura Italiana offers Italian language courses in the centre of Bologna, the medieval town of Etruscan origin where the oldest university of Europe is located.  There is also Cultura Italiana facilities in Arezzo and Manciano-Maremma, Tuscany.

The school specialises in teaching Italian to adults, althoug it occasionally hosts groups of school-age students or individuals, when special classes are organized. Courses begin on Mondays with an assessment test. There are 10 different levels. Each level consists of 20 lesson-hours, plus 10 hours of extra-curricular lessons, per week. The first part of the lesson focuses on grammatical structure and vocabulary, the second part on expression and communication. Standard classes have 6-12 students, but the school also offers classes with 3-5, or 2 participants, as well individual classes. At the end of the course the participant receives a certificate. The school provides the teaching materials, including free photocopies. Text-books are lent by the school.

Regarding lodging, the school runs a special reservation service, free of charge, which finds and books rooms for the duration of the courses. Besides, a list of restaurants is given to each student.

There is also special programs of activities after classes, including meetings with Italians who have the same occupation than the students, visits to towns or museums, assistance to current events, etc.  Other special courses or activities include Italian cooking lessons, wine tasting events, seminars on different topics, etc.
