Tania Cavalcante is a Brazilian native speaker and teacher who has spent more than 16 years teaching English in Salvador. Four of her teaching years have been in Aracaju city where she received international certificates (Oxford Preliminary Certificate and FCE). There she honed her teaching skills by taking part in many multilingual lectures.

Now, Tania is devoted to providing high quality, personalized Portuguese language instruction. The course was created in 2001 and it is done by concentrating on conversation in real life situations. Besides the individual course, Tania is available to teach small groups as well. Classes run Monday through Friday and start at 9:00am. Extra time as 7:00 am or Sundays afternoons should be prearranged. There are different types of courses: the Survival Kit (5 to 10 hours), the Basic Course (20-40 hrs.) and the Intermediate Course (40-70 hrs.).  Group sessions are limited to 4 participants (max.) and there are some advanced courses for Business and Industry as well.

Tania also provides accommodations in private homes, hostels, or hotels in the historic district or in the beach area of Barra.

In addition to Portuguese classes and accommodation opportunities, Tania also helps her students in adapting to the city. She routinely suggests restaurants, places for shopping, hairdressers, dentists, and other “tips” to make their stay in Salvador a pleasant one.
