Fajr Center for the Arabic Language was founded in Cairo in 1995, and affiliated to the Egyptian Ministry of Education with the sole purpose of teaching Classical Arabic to non-Arabic speakers.  The Fajr Diploma is officially approved and certified.

Fajr Center has three locations in Cairo: NasrCity, Dokki and Maadi, which have suit the different needs, budgets and standards of living for all of the students.  

Fajr has a finely graded curriculum, which means students will waste no time attending classes below or above their level. Fajr's pre-scheduled groups classes through the year is an excellent way for students to pre-plan their studies and confirm that classes are available throughout the year. Minimum number of students in group classes is three, however the center provides the students with the opportunity to complete the program, by making an exception for those students in levels zero through five to begin class even if there is only one student in that class.  

Programs at Fajr Center are divided into 5 categories:  Main Classical Arabic “Foss-ha” Programs, Advanced Programs, Specialized Programs (Arabic Phonetics, Calligraphy, Public speaking, etc.), local Egyptian Dialect Program, and Teachers' Training Program.  The students can choose one of the following types of classes: Group class, private one-to-one class, semi-private class, university group class and custom class. The Summer Intensive programs and Winter Intensive program are part of the Available Classical Arabic Fos-ha Programs.

The Department of Housing and Lodging (DHL) at Fajr Center provides different services to the students, such as accommodation (apartment search, roommate search, hotel, etc.), airport pick-up, daily transportation, tourist excursions and trips, and much more.
