Lithuanian Language Courses in Lithuania

Vytautas Magnus University, established in 1922 (reestablished in 1989) is one of the most liberal and modern universities in Lithuania, having liberal studies policy, seeking and establishing successful international relations with other universities all over the world. It is an open university where traditions and innovations meet and compliment each other.

VMU Kaunas Summer School organizes different Summer courses, including the intensive Lithuanian Language and Culture Summer Course, which has been organized for ten years in a row already. Each summer, there are beginners, intermediate and advanced levels. During the courses, foreign students enrich their vocabulary, learn grammar of the Lithuanian language, participate in discussions, become acquainted with Lithuanian culture, society, traditions, politics and history.

The participants of the summer courses also visit historical places and museums in Kaunas, go to Vilnius, Trakai, Lithuanian seaside and Anyksciai. Traditionally, international party with songs, dances and national Lithuanian dishes is held too. The deadline of submitting the application is in June.
