Italian Language School in Rome, Italy
The centre Mediterraneo, founded in 1998, is specialized in
teaching all aspects of Italian language and culture to foreigners. It
is centrally located, just a short stroll from the Coliseum in “Monti,” one of
the most fascinating and historical part of Rome. The neighbourhood, which boasts unique
monuments, restaurants, coffee bars and artisan shops, can be easily reached from most of
central Rome. Mediterraneo School is in a charming, well
maintained XIX century building, with spacious, bright and quiet classroom and a
well-provided library. Its premises have been recently all renovated and is now
equipped with a modern kitchen for the cooking lessons and the “spaghetti
parties”. Furthermore the school is fully air-conditioned.
The school offers a wide
variety of Italian classes and introduces to various aspects of Italian Culture and
society. Students may choose any of the language or culture courses offered, in groups or
in private sessions, including Italian Standard courses, Italian Intensive courses,
Italian extensive courses, Italian cooking courses, Italian Opera lessons, CILS
preparation, Italian for Business, etc. Students must be 16 years old or over, and
group courses have a maximum of 12 students (Summer). There is also the homestay
tuition option, for one or two people booking together for the same dates.
The school arranges the most appropriate
accommodation for its students in accordance with their particular needs. Accommodation
options include: host family (a local family, a young Italian professional or Italian
University students), bed & breakfast, youth hostel, hotel room, or
studios/apartments.
