English Language Institute Oregon State Universty is part of a warm, friendly, safe community. The university is big enough to be interesting, but small enough for students to feel at home. Computers and the Internet are generally available 24 hours per day. For those interested in the outdoors, the school is conveniently located for hiking and camping in the summer. It rarely snows in Corvallis, but students can go skiing in the winter in the mountains nearby. An intensive program of study at the ELI includes academic preparation that gives students the reading, writing, listening, speaking, and thinking skills to succeed at an American university. In addition, the co-curricular program encourages students to participate in a wide range of activities on campus and in the friendly Corvallis community.
