The Centre was established and has been operating in Larissa - Central Greece - since 1970. The Modern Greek Language program for non-native speakers was started in 1993.Modern Greek language courses are held the year round and are offered at five levels of competency. Courses are offered throughout the year (October to May) in both regular and intensive schedules. Each course covers approximately 80 hours of instruction over a eight or fourteen week period, with lessons being held three or five times a week.There are no requirements as to the minimum number of students in each class, however, class size is kept small so that students have ample opportunity to receive help from the instructor, thus maximizing their opportunities for interaction and learning. Lessons are held on all days scheduled (Monday to Friday) except on public holidays and Christmas and Easter school holidays.
