LOCATION AND FACILITIES
 The school is just 5 minutes from the sea and centrally positioned in the
town of San Bartolomeo al Mare, an Italian seaside town, located on the western coast of
the region of Liguria, along the shores called "Riviera dei Fiori", the Riviera
of Flowers.
San Bartolomeo al Mare is easy to reach with all means of transport,
thanks to its central position, close to the main Ligurian seaside towns.
 The modern
town developed in the last decades along the seaside, and includes a wide and sunny beach
promenade, very lively during the summer months, when San Bartolomeo al Mare is animated
with lots of tourists hosted by a large number of hotels, residences and campgrounds, to
satisfy all accommodation needs, well equipped beaches for sunbathing and water play, and
several sports centers, together with renowned typical Ligurian restaurants, will make
your stay pleasant and amazing.
The school is small
size and has a friendly and pleasant atmosphere for learning the language and experiencing
the Italian culture.
The maximum number of
students per class is eight, though there are often only four or five: enough space for
everyone to participate and get to know each other.
The school also
offers: Free internet connection for students, - library of Italian authors and reading
materials designed especially for foreign readers - Video library with a collection of
films by Italian cinematographers.

PROGRAM
AND METHODOLOGY
Courses at Poliedro are designed for people of every age who wish to
learn Italian or to further their knowledge of it. The program pays close attention to the
spoken language whilst also covering grammatical aspects.
A short test on the first day allows
the students to be placed in classes of the appropriate levels. In
the case that a person is not placed in any of the groups, he or she will receive two
hours of lessons a day, in place of four hours of class teaching.
The school offers the following programs:
STANDARD COURSE
The lessons take place in the morning from Monday to Friday
(four sessions of 45 minutes each day) in classes of maximum eight students.
This is ideal for those who would like to learn Italian but who would also like time to
experience the Mediterranean way of lifeand visit the surrounding country side.
INTENSE COURSE
Like the standard course, plus two hours a day of individual
lessons in the afternoon.
It is designed for those who have a particular interest in improving
their language skills or who prefer to have the maximum benefit of the course.
If you are not an absolute beginner, then you can start
your group course on any Monday from March to November. For absolute beginners, group
courses start on the following dates:

ACCOMMODATION
AND MEALS
 The school offers
two types of accommodation:
1. APARTMENT: A double or single room in a four-person apartment with access to shared
kitchen.
2. A 3 STAR HOTEL: room in San Bartolomeo or in Diano Marina with half board.
The school is a maximum of 15 minutes walk from the accommodation. The apartments and the
hotels are approximately 800 meters from the sea.
The day of arrival is the Sunday prior to the start of
the course
The day of departure is the Saturday following the end of the course
