WAYRA Instituto de Español offers since 1996 Spanish classes to foreign students and residents. A Swiss and Latin American managed school, operates in a pristine environment and offers an ideal setting for people who are interested in learning Spanish by following a full immersion program.

The school is located in Playa Tamarindo on Costa Rica's west coast, on the Nicoya Peninsula the province of Guanacaste. Tamarindo has about 1,000 habitants. Some of the homes of the residents are spread on the hills, overlooking the impressive ocean. The students can find most of the restaurants, hotels, tour operators, surf schools, supermarkets and other mayor businesses on the main roads.

Tamarindo is a small, multicultural town that attracts national and international tourists all year round.

At WAYRA, the students can enjoy the local wildlife. Iguanas, birds, and many other small animals can be observed while listening to the braking waves of the ocean. Often, the tranquility is only interrupted by the howling of monkeys that takes away the breath of students each time they stop for a visit
