Spanish Language School in Costa Rica
 Centro Panamericano de Idiomas (CPI) is a Spanish immersion school
in Costa Rica that allows students to study at three separate campuses, in three distinct
regions of the country: Heredia, Monteverde, and Flamingo Beach. At each campus, the
school maintains the same teaching methodology, faculty, and administrative resources, to
ensure students receive the same instruction no matter where they choose to study. CPI
programs are appropiate for families, college students, professionals, as well as retired
couples.
CPI was founded in 1991 by Romy Morales and
her family in the small town of San Joaquín de Flores. San Joaquín is a quiet suburb of
Heredia, with easy access to Heredia city and to San José, Costa Rica's capital.
CPI has two other locations. CPI Monteverde
was established as an extension of CPI in 1996. The Monteverde zone, which includes ten
towns and 8,000 people, is situated on the Continental Divide at an elevation of 5,600
feet. The region is well known for its commitment to the sustainable development of the
community and the conservation of the cloud forest reserves. This area is a rural region
and is a 5-hour bus ride from San José. Buses travel daily to and from Monteverde. CPI
Flamingo is a beach option. It was established in 2000, in the Guanacaste coastal area.
