Alajuela Province stretches from the Central Highlands with the capital Alajuela and the
Poás Volcano to the Northern Plains, with the Arenal Volcano. Alajuela is home of the
International Airport Juan Santamaría, near the capital (San José). |

INTENSA was founded in 1980. The length of study
program can be as short as one week or as long as a year. It has three school sites, two
in the capital and the other in Alajuela, the country's second largest town near the
international airport. All sites provide easy access to restaurants, stores, theaters and
malls.

in Costa Rica: Playa Dominical, Turrialba and Arenal Volcano. The school combines intensive, small group Spanish instruction with afternoon
